Terms and conditions
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Please read these terms carefully. By signing up for, installing or using BettyBot, you agree to them. The headings are only there to help you find your way around.
1. Who we are
BettyBot (“we”, “us”) runs the website www.bettybot.co.uk and the BettyBot app. You can email us any time at support@bettybot.co.uk (see our Support page). How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.
2. Who can use BettyBot
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must live in the United Kingdom or Ireland, and you must follow the gambling laws that apply to you.
- You may have only one BettyBot account, and it's for your own use.
- Don't use BettyBot if you have self-excluded from gambling (for example through GAMSTOP) or if gambling is causing you problems.
3. What BettyBot does
BettyBot is not a bookmaker. We don't take bets or hold your money. Bets are placed with bookmakers in your own accounts, and the Betfair exchange is used only to read prices.
BettyBot is software that runs on your computer. It watches prices on the Betfair exchange and looks for bookmaker prices that appear better than the exchange suggests they should be (“value”). Depending on your settings it can tell you about these, or place bets for you.
We work hard to make the prices and information BettyBot shows accurate, but we can't promise they are always correct or up to date.
When BettyBot places bets for you, it acts on bookmaker websites on your behalf. We've tried to keep its actions to the bookmaker pages it is meant to use, but things outside our control (for example a pop-up appearing on your computer while it is working) can cause an action you didn't intend. You are responsible for the bets placed in your bookmaker accounts.
We may add, change or remove features at any time, including support for particular bookmakers. A bookmaker feature may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because the bookmaker changed its website. We'll try to give notice where we can.
Practice mode records pretend bets only. Practice bets never cost you money and never count towards commission.
4. Betting risk: no guarantees
- Every bet can lose. There will be losing days and losing periods, and you could lose all the money you bet.
- Past results, including any results we show, don't guarantee future results.
- Prices move quickly. A bet may not be placed, or may be placed at a different price, and software, internet or bookmaker problems can happen.
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Use the safer-gambling limits in the BettyBot app and see our safer gambling help.
5. Your accounts
- You need your own Betfair account and your own bookmaker accounts. You're responsible for following their terms.
- Some bookmakers don't allow automated betting, and bookmakers may limit or close accounts that win often. That's between you and the bookmaker, and it isn't something we can control or refund.
- Keep your BettyBot, Betfair and bookmaker passwords private. Your Betfair login details stay on your own computer and are never sent to us.
6. Commission and invoices
There's no subscription. We charge commission on profit only:
- Rate: 25% of your profit from real (not practice) bets placed through BettyBot, lowered by referrals (section 7).
- Periods: profit is worked out in 14-day periods. Your first period starts with your first real bet.
- No profit, no fee: if a period ends in a loss, you pay nothing, and that loss is carried forward. We only charge again once later profit has made up all earlier losses.
- Small amounts: fees under £1 are waived.
- Invoices: at the end of a profitable period we send an invoice. It's due within 7 days and can be paid by card.
- Late payment: if an invoice is still unpaid 48 hours after its due date, BettyBot switches off until it's paid. It switches back on once payment is received.
- We work out profit from the bet records your BettyBot app sends us (section 8). If you think an invoice is wrong, tell us before you pay it and we'll look into it. Once an invoice is paid, the fee is final and won't be refunded.
- Unpaid debts: if an invoice stays unpaid, we may pass the debt to a debt collection agency.
- VAT: all fees include VAT where it applies.
- Offers: any promotions or offers are at our discretion, and we may change or end them at any time.
7. Referrals
- Each person who signs up with your referral code and places at least 10 real bets reduces your commission rate by 5 percentage points.
- Your rate can't go below 15%.
- Referring yourself, or creating accounts to earn discounts, isn't allowed, and we may remove discounts gained that way.
8. Your betting records
To work out commission, the BettyBot app sends us details of the real bets it places (race, runner, bookmaker, stake, odds and result). You must not change, hide or block these records. We may check them against race results, and we may suspend accounts where records look wrong.
9. Your licence to use BettyBot
While your account is active and you follow these terms, you may use BettyBot on your own computers for your own betting. You must not copy, resell, share, reverse-engineer or try to get around BettyBot's licence or billing checks.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using BettyBot at any time. Commission for profit made before you stop is still due. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
11. Our liability
- BettyBot is provided “as is”. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or find winning bets.
- We're not responsible for betting losses, for bets placed or actions taken on bookmaker websites, for bookmaker or Betfair decisions (such as limiting or closing your account), or for losses caused by internet, computer or third-party problems.
- If we are found responsible for a loss, the most we will pay is the total commission you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it applies. Changes to commission rates never apply to a period that has already started.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If something goes wrong, please contact us first through our Support page and we'll try to sort it out.
If a court decides that part of these terms isn't valid, the rest of the terms still apply.
